Automating the GEM Investment Strategy

We designed and implemented a streamlined automation using Make.com. The scenario automatically triggers on a set schedule to perform the required GEM strategy check-up. It systematically fetches the latest performance data for four key asset classes—developed markets, emerging markets, bond markets, and treasury bills—from a dedicated financial data API. The automation incorporates an error-handling mechanism to retry the data fetch in case of temporary API issues, ensuring reliability. Once all data points are collected, the system populates a new row in a designated Google Sheet. This log includes the current date, the performance figures, and a pre-built formula that instantly provides the investment action required by the GEM strategy rules, offering a clear, actionable insight without any manual effort.
